Neil’s latest album, Learning to Fly, is a collection of nine original compositions written by Neil Tatar, and recorded at Imaginary Road Studios under the guidance of Will Ackerman, Grammy Award winning guitarist and producer, and founder of Windham Hill Records. In September of 2015, Learning to Fly was accepted onto the ballot as an entry for Best Album in the New Age category for the 58th Grammy Awards. “Learning to Fly” also reached the #1 ranking on the Zone Music Reporter’s Top 100 Radio Airplay Chart in September, and was selected as a finalist for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album of 2015.

Neil Tatar’s first album, Where Did The Time Go, showcases his contemporary style, blending blues, rhythm and blues, and jazz in his composition and performance. The album is a collaboration with Grammy Award winning cellist and composer David Darling. In March of 2015, Where Did the Time Go reached the #1 ranking internationally on the Zone Music Reporter Radio Top 100 Airplay Chart, and was also selected as a finalist for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album of 2015 by Zone Music Reporter.

In May of 2016, Neil was honored by Zone Music Reporter as Best New Artist of 2015, an award presented by broadcasters, reviewers, and radio programmers worldwide. He is currently starting on his third album at Imaginary Road Studios, due to be released in 2017.
